SNE
The “Société de Neuroendocrinologie Expérimentale” (SNE) was created in 1971 by Jacques Benoit in order to develop basic research and exchanges between researchers in the field of neuroendocrinology of vertebrates. The current President is Dr. Vincent Prévot. The members of the Scientific Council are renewed by one third every year. The Scientific Council and the Executive Bureau meet twice a year to discuss various issues including the preparation of colloques. An essential aspect of the activity of the SNE is to allow young people to present their results in each annual colloque. In recent years, the SNE and SNE- Servier awards recognize the original works presented by young researchers. The essential characteristics of the SNE and its success are based on: - An interactive network of research teams. - An interface between basic, clinical and agronomic research. - A program of exchange scholarships and travel grants. - Prices for young researchers. - An annual colloque and thematic days.
