Dr Ogunnowo-Bada received his Bachelors of Science degree in Applied Biomedical Sciences from Manchester Metropolitan University in 2009. He then worked as a Biomedical Scientist in the Department of Clinical Biochemistry at Central Manchester University Hospitals before he began his PhD studies in the laboratory of Dr Mark Evans at the Department of Medicine, University of Cambridge in 2010. His thesis work focussed on the role of brain glucokinase and BCl2-associated death promoter in the control of blood glucose homeostasis, particularly hypoglycaemia counterregulation. Having been awarded his PhD degree in February 2014, he is now continuing on his work on the role of brain glucokinase in blood glucose homeostasis, as a post doc in the laboratory of Dr Mark Evans, Cambridge University.
