Marie-Stéphanie Clerget-Froidevaux completed her PhD in Paris (France) in 1998, where she worked on the characterization of oxytocin and vasopressin receptors in the uterus near parturition. From 1998 to 2000, she carried out her post-doctoral training in Canada (University of Calgary) in the laboratory of Dr Pittman, where she studied the link between hypothalamic vasopressin receptors and the pyretic response at term. She then joined Barbara Demeneix’s laboratory (National Museum of Natural History) in Paris in 2000, where she was appointed Assistant Professor in 2004. Since 2005, her research focuses on the role of thyroid hormones in the hypothalamic control of metabolism during aging. She was recently appointed as Professor of the Museum in 2013.
