- This delegate is presenting an abstract at this event.
In 2003, Dr. Perelló obtained his PhD degree in neuroendocrinology from the University of La Plata, Argentina. In 2004, he started a postdoctoral training at Brown University, where he studied the neuronal circuits by which leptin regulates the hypothalamic-pituitary-thyroid neuroendocrine axis. In 2008, he performed another postdoctoral training at the Hypothalamic Research Division at University of Texas/Southwestern Medical Center, where he studied the physiological role of the hormone ghrelin. In 2010, he established the neurophysiology lab in the Multidisciplinary Institute of Cell Biology in La Plata, Argentina. His lab currently focuses in the study of the neuronal circuits and molecular mechanism by which ghrelin regulates neuroendocrine and behavioral functions.
