Stefania Maccari is Full Professor in Neuroscience at the University of Lille 1 (France) from 1998. She is a world-renowned neuroscientist for her works on prenatal restraint stress in rat, an animal model that recapitulates the hallmarks of anxious/depressive disorders. Nowadays, Stefania Maccari is head of the Neural Plasticity team at the Department of Structural and Functional Glycobiology. She is also co-director of an International Associated Laboratory that includes University of Lille 1/CNRS (France) and Sapienza University of Rome/NEUROMED (Italy).
